Potty Boot Camp: Day 5

Potty training week is over!  Yay!  Honestly, it went better than I thought it would.  We still have a ways to go, but we've made a significant start.  It may have even been more for me than for Little Buddy, to strip me of the comfort of diapers.  I know now that I can handle him diaperless and handle what accidents will result every once and awhile.  Out of 7 potties today, one was when he woke up, three were accidents while we were playing outside, and 3 made it into the potty.  And he's actually becoming more aware of what is going on with his body, which is really what needed to happen.

He had done so well this week, that Daddy and I decided to reward him with his first official ride in the Mustang to go get some ice cream!  Two of his favorite things; he was so excited!

Surprisingly, he let Daddy drive without much argument for "Will drive it!"

It was a great week hanging out with him.  A lot of the time we get so busy with activities that we don't get to focus on each other, so it was fun (but a little tiring, I will admit!) to just be one-on-one.  We only have a few more weeks together by ourselves before little sister joins us, so I hope we can maximize our adventures together!
