November 11

We kicked into high gear with travel and activities this month!  Never a dull moment!  Our first trip was a 10 day, 3 with whirlwind around Ohio.  Cousin A's wedding was this month and Little Buddy and Little Sweetie were asked to the be the Ring Bearer and the Flower Girl.  Since we hadn't been to Ohio as a family in a while, we decided to extend our trip to see as many of our family members as possible while we were back.

Our first stop was in Marietta.  Not only did we get to see Mimi and Pop-Pop, but it was homecoming weekend for our alma mater, so we got to take Little Buddy around campus.

Hanging out with the Chi Os!

Little Buddy getting to meet, in person, one of his biggest supporters, Dr. B!

We also got to see family and meet some of our Sanfilippo family while in Marietta!

Got to see Great Grandma!

A quick visit to Great Granny!

We also got to meet sweet M (who has Sanfilippo) and her twin, brother M (who is neurotypical).  There is nothing like meeting other families.

The next part of our journey was an emotional one.  We took Little Buddy to Columbus to try to see if they would at least screen him to see if it was even possible to be in the clinical trial.  It was a long day of ups and downs, but it ended with them deciding not to screen him.  On the bright side, the doctor who met with him said he is doing exceptionally well for his age, so we'll take that as a win any day.

We'll never stop trying for you, Buddy.  Never.

After some disappointment in Columbus, we were ready to cheer up with the festivities in Canton.  First up, it was Little Sweetie's birthday, so we headed out with some friends who were also in town to celebrate.

Little Buddy enjoyed his morning at the McKinley Museum having fun on Little Sweetie's birthday!

Everyone enjoyed some birthday ice cream at Taggarts to celebrate Little Sweetie!  It was great hanging with our friends, M and E too!

And then, it was time for the wedding duties and celebration to begin!

Ready to do his job!

My two favorite guys, ready for the wedding!

The three amigos!  So good to spend time with cousin J!

Little Buddy was pretty worn out after the wedding, so the reception consisted a lot of him watching a movie on his iPad with family.  It kept him content and happy!

Some quick park time in Columbus before heading back home!

After our trip, nothing slowed down.  Instead, life just got busier!  Momma's birthday, theme days at school, and Halloween were followed by our trip to New York and the kids dream room renovations!

Little Buddy trying to steal Momma's birthday pie!

Bowtie day at school!  He's so handsome!

Dressing like one of his favorite book characters, "No, David!"

Little Sister wanted to get in on the action!

Halloween ready at Run Club's Halloween run!

Captain America and Spider Girl are ready to Trick or Treat!

And then it was time for New York and the Dream Rooms!  We were so excited to go cheer on Mr. R as he raced the New York marathon in honor of Little Buddy and the Cure Sanfilippo Foundation and we also couldn't wait to see some more of our Sanfilippo family!

New York bound!

Got to see the M family!  Little Buddy and J were adorable together!

Wishing Mr. R luck before the race the next day!

We were also in town for the M family's kickball fundraiser for the Cure Sanfilippo Foundation.  Excited to spend more time with them and to meet other families in person!

These beautiful Sanfilippo babies and their courageous Mommas.

Little Buddy was really enjoying the great fall weather in New York!

We love you, M family!

And then, the main event!  The marathon!  Go Mr. R, go!

So excited to see him on the course!  He was looking so strong!

He did it!  Mr. R ran sub 3 hours!  We were so glad we could be there to cheer him on!

Never enough time with our dear friends.  So glad we can make these memories happen.

Homeward bound to our dream rooms!

Here's his old room:

Goodbye to the baby boy puppy theme.

And here's his new room:

Hello, big boy baseball room!

He seems to approve!

Height and Weight
He's up to 74 pounds now and is about 54 and a quarter inches.

Personality
Again, very happy and sometimes overly excitable.  Also very active right now.

Developmental Changes
Overall, staying pretty stable.  We are hoping that now that our traveling is done, we can work with him more on his OT skills and keep trying to get his speech therapy back.

Fun Tidbits
He's really enjoying his new room and has been sleeping well.  He loves looking at the books up on his new platform!

Can't believe the holidays are just around the corner!

See you next month,

LBM
