March 11

Mid-February to mid-March is one of our busiest times of the year, but we survived, woo!  So many memories made with our favorite guy.

The reason we are so busy at this time is because we participate in our local Marathon's Charity Challenge to raise funds for the Cure Sanfilippo Foundation in honor of Little Buddy.  So between fundraising, cheer tenting, and all our family training for races and then runnings those races, life gets a bit crazy!  Thankfully, all went well and Little Buddy won first place again in the Charity Challenge, with so many of our friends bringing home top 20 honors as well.  It's a tiring event, but worth the awareness and funds we raise for this disease.

Amazing fundraising efforts done by both my workout class and Little Buddy's elementary school!

Little Buddy is ready to run the kids' race!

We couldn't have accomplished anything without the help of our amazing teammates!

Checkout out Uncle M's marathon medal!

Thanking Uncle M and Aunt S for all they do!

Thanking Ms. A and Mr. A for being his friends!

The kid crew after our annual Chuy's celebration lunch!

Then, the week after the marathon, we headed to another run being put on by another local Sanfilippo family.  It was a fun day!

Little Buddy on the track.

Little Sweetie posting with her brother's sign on the course!

The best part of the day was the visit from Max, the therapy pig!  Little Buddy actually said the words, "pink," "pig,", "oink," and "Max" after meeting him!

Even with all these activities, we still had quite a bit of other fun stuff happen this month.  It was nonstop activities it seemed!  First up was Valentines Day.

Love my little Valentines!

One of the Valentines gifts we got Little Buddy was a stuffed Emmett from the new Lego Movie.  He loved it and he also loved going to see the new movie!

The next bit event as a Texan was Go Texan Day.  Our little cowboy looked very handsome, if I do say so myself.

Our favorite cowboy!

Being awesome and raising awareness on Rare Disease Day.

Ash Wednesday with my boy.

We've also been keeping busy just enjoying family time.

Horsey rides with Daddy!

Enjoying sun when we get it (it's been very dreary and cloudy lately).

Horseback riding time!

Getting his port flushed!

Oh these two really do love each other!  My heart!

Height and Weight
Coming in at 54.75 inches inches and weight is 77 pounds this month.

Personality
Overall, still maintaining the talkativeness.  We've notice more smiles and more excitement, which can sometimes become overwhelming for him.  But it's always less stressful when he's overexcited and happy, than overstimulated and upset, so we'll take it.

Our happy boy.

Developmental Changes
Little Buddy has been working really hard and we've seen a lot of good progress and maintenance in his OT and speech.  Stacking 10 blocks, doing all his buttons in slots, coloring within a border, and he's met a lot of his OT goals.  We keep striving for him to be the best that he can be!

Go Little Buddy!

Fun Tidbits
Guess who was so excited when his favorite person, Ms. A, came home from college for Spring Break? :)

Just pure joy.  He loves her so much!

Hoping we can settle down a little bit next month, but we know how that wish normally goes!

Until next time,
