It's a Nice Day for an Ohio Trip!

After our New England adventures, you'd think we would be done with travel for awhile...but nope, not us adventurers!  Daddy had a work meeting in Ohio the same weekend as Momma's cousin's wedding, so we decided to make the trip.  Momma and Little Buddy flew directly from Minnesota to Ohio, where Daddy and Little Sweetie met us.  It was a crazy trip (and Little Buddy's carseat didn't make it...thankfully we have good friends that loaned us one!) but we had a lot of fun, although I think I am done with traveling for awhile!

Daddy and Little Sweetie heading to Ohio!

Our first stop was Marietta for DAddy's work meeting and golf scramble.  Momma got to hang out on campus, visit with old friends, and check out the new boathouse while the kiddos played with Mimi and Pop-Pop.

Golfing at the Marietta Country Club.

Pretty view at the Marietta College Campus.

The renovated boathouse was stunning!

The kids' favorite part?  Being back at the Castle!

Enjoyed some Bob Evans with Mimi, Pop-Pop, and Great Grandma before heading north to Columbus!

After one day in Marietta, it was time to head back up to Columbus for the wedding and to see Mamaw and Papaw!  We were a little nervous about how Little Buddy would do with the wedding (and Little Sweetie...it had been a busy few days for her with no nap times) but everything went very well.  We were able to take him outside when he was overstimulated and my cousin and his new wife were very kind and made sure both kids felt included and had a good time.

We sadly didn't get many pictures, but we got to have a quick lunch with Ms. A, Ms. D, and some other Columbus area friends before the wedding.

Cutie pies ready for Cousin B's wedding!

Wedding time!

Enjoying a picnic reception dinner!

My favorite wedding date!

Little Buddy was a big fan of the sparkling grape juice he got for the toast!

Little Sweetie was more excited about the cupcakes!

Dancing with the groom and bride!

The bridal party very graciously decided to make their group dance be the hokey pokey so that Little Buddy could join it.  He loved it!

Little Sweetie and Cousin A were ready to go during the bouquet toss!

We got to see Ms. A again too!  She helped us reconcile the carseat situation and then generously stayed to help us with Little Buddy so that we could mingle with our family a little bit.

Great breakfast with Mamaw and Papaw the next morning!  So glad we got to see so many family members this trip!

We had a little time before we had to get to the airport and we thankfully found a really nice park to walk off some energy before being confined on the airplane.  Little Buddy was particularly excited about the waterfall!

Passed out on the plane.  What a fun weekend, but we will be glad to be home!

And that ends our month of travel.  Hoping to get settled back home and back on routine before Little Buddy is out of school for the month!

IRONMAN Fun!

One of the more unique things about our area is that it hosts an IRONMAN competition each year.  We always love going to watch part of it and cheer for the participants; it's a really cool thing to watch.  This year was very special because we had a lot of WILLPower represented in the race, including Little Buddy's runner from the I Run 4 program who came in from Colorado to meet our favorite boy!

Little Buddy and Mr. M, his I Run 4 runner!  It was wonderful to watch them meet for the first time and see the instant connection.  What a wonderful program!

We were excited to have dinner with Mr. M and Ms. K and couldn't wait to cheer them both on on Saturday!

First stop on our Ironman cheering path...the bike course!  There weren't  lot of places to cheer from, but we made sure to bring the WILLPower to the route.  Every rider we saw really appreciated it; there's not a lot to look at during the biking portion!  We picnicked and the kids actually hung really well and we got to see Mr. M, Ms. K, and our friends Ms. S and Ms. S!

Cheer squad in place!

Momma hung out by the route...

And the back of the Jeep was great for our small cheerers and food breaks!

Little Sweetie was excited to cheer everyone on!

We then headed home to repack to cheer for the marathon portion of the race.  We weren't sure how long the kids would last, but we hoped we could cheer for everyone at least once on the course until bedtime hit.  Weren't we surprised when the kids lasted long enough to watch several of our friends finish!  They didn't get home and to bed until 11 PM, but we couldn't complain because they did so well for such a long day!

Pizza picnic on the waterway while we wait to see our runners!

Found a great cheering spot!

Mr. M stopped to say hi!

The wind made it a little chilly, but we waited patiently at the finish.  Had to give our friends WILLPower to power through!

Mr. M is headed into the finish line!

Hugs for Mr. M!  He then sat with us while we waited to cheer for our other friends too.

We were all tired the next day, but the excitement of watching these amazing athletes and cheering for our friends was worth it!  So inspiring!

Good night,
