We refuse to see a chair that arrived. Instead, we choose to see safety for our sweet boy.
Little Buddy's stroller also has a skateboard attachment! Little Sweetie has been excited to use it.
Right here. Right here is why I choose to see the stroller as a benefit instead of a reminder of what Little Buddy faces in the future. We can be outside in the front yard together. He is safe. His sister is playing with him. Daddy and I are working outside. We are together and he is safe. That is our priority.
Lots of Easter Bunny love!
Enjoying the Lenten services at Church as we prepare for Easter!
He loves his new dinosaur prayer quilt!
We've also had a lot of fun outside as Texas hits its perfect weather time period. We have to enjoy it now before the heat sets in!
Sometimes a broom is all you need!
Still loving hammock time!
Bike ride!
Eating outside and getting hugs from my boy...can it get any better?
When we aren't outside, we are playing inside. Sometimes even with our sibling (when she allows it).
Lego time!
Don't blink, they are playing together!
Movie night!
And, of course, when we aren't here, we are in Minnesota. Where we aren't combating allergies but we are combating late planes and cold weather.
Flight got in late. We are SO over all of it.
Taking in the hospital room view. Always searching for a cure.
Just very lucky to spend another month with these two hooligans!
Looking sharp, you two!
Height and Weight
Weighing in at 65 pounds and about 51 1/2 inches this month!
Spring pictures came in! I love the newscaster photo of our big boy, lol!
Personality
Still happy, but having an overall miserable month with allergies.
A steamy shower helps clear the sinuses!
Developmental Changes
Thankfully he has been maintaining his good sleep, so we are very happy with that! However, springtime brings pollen which brings allergies. Poor Little Buddy is a mess of drainage that we are trying to fight. It has been making him tired, irritable, and...quiet. As much as his yelling and constant noise can be draining, it is much worse when we aren't hearing sounds from his lips. We are hoping his quietness is just from him not feeling his best and not that he is losing his language.
Another not so great development has been his chewing...it's on an upswing again. WE have had to put his no-no's on his arms to stop him from attempting to chew his hands or sticks he finds in the backyard. We even attempted to give him a chewie tube in desperation but he just threw it at us. Thankfully, his speech therapist suggested that we check his teeth; it seems like his 6 year molars are all trying to come in! We are hoping that the chewing is associated with teeth and that his chewing frequency might decrease again. Here's hoping!
Fun Tidbits
He's been very excited about "dessert" and especially ice cream lately! If he used the word, he gets it. !So we have been having a lot of ice cream lately.
Enjoying his cone!
The rest of the month of April will be interesting...we have A LOT coming up! We will traveling more than we are here...New York, Massachusetts, Ohio...plus the usual Minnesota trips. Here's hoping all goes without incident!
See you next month,
LBM
