July 11

July finds us with summer in full swing!  We've been keeping busy with biking, swimming, camps, and anything else Momma can come up with to keep us out of trouble (and out of the house, so we don't destroy it)!

Our first camp right out of the gate was Vacation Bible School!  We are blessed to have a church that accepts and loves our boy as he is.

VBS time!

Our second camp of the summer was WOW Science Camp.  They have a special needs cohort, so not only did Little Sister have a great time, but Little Buddy got to participate too.  It was our first year doing the science camp and I'm so glad we did it.  What a great experience!

Ready for the first day of science camp!

Lots of critters to learn about!

Working on color and sound!

He was very happy on the days Ms. A came with us too!

Well, we're all pretty happy when we get time with Ms. A!

Our two super scientists!

On the weeks we don't have camps, we've been finding ways to stay cool in the heat and have fun.  It's been really nice getting to our neighborhood pool early in the day and basically having it all to ourselves!

So happy to have pool time!

After swimming and a picnic lunch, we usually come home for rest and then find ways to entertain ourselves in the afternoon.

Biking...with bubbles!  Adding a little fun to our bike workout.

Art time is always a favorite!

Cracking open an "alligator" egg!

When we didn't stay home, we went out!  Lot of fun things to do!

Library time!

Little Buddy loves riding the tiger at the carousel at the mall!

Playing at Kangas lets us burn energy and stay cool in the Houston heat!

Jumping into fun at My Gym Practice and Play!

If you get to the mall early enough, you get the run of the play area!

We also had several special days this month too!  First up was our annual Lemonade Stand to raise awareness for Sanfilippo Syndrome.

With WILLPower cupcakes and the cutest salespeople, how could this be anything but a success!

We also got to meet another Sanfilippo family!

The next day we got to celebrate the most important man in our lives...Daddy!

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!  We love you!

Finally, the Fourth of July might have brought rain, but it also brought the chance for us to finally see Incredibles II!

Happy Independence Day!

Hooray for sensory friendly showings of movies!

Height and Weight
The exact same this month as last month!  He weighs 71.4 pounds and still hanging on right below 54 inches!

Personality
Our happy boy!  Daddy and I are just excited to soak up every moment and ever grin with this guy!  So many smiles and such good eye contact lately.

Twins!

All the joy!

Couch cuddles!

Momma just can't get enough of her little guy!

Developmental Changes
Overall, he's held very stable this month, which makes us very happy!  Lots of (loud) talking and energy!  We have noticed a decrease in self-feeding, but he just seems to be distracted a bit more at meals.  Still eating and maintain weight, so hopefully we can get him back on track.

Summer means annual well check and genetics visit.  He did well at both appointments and our doctors were pleased with how he was doing overall.  We'll take it!

Speaking of energy, he received a FitBit for his birthday.  After seeing how many steps he has a day, I am no longer surprised how tired I am by the end of the day!

Fun Tidbits
Last month, My Gym had a WILLPower Spirit Night and the kids that attended made Little Buddy cards of support.  It was such a beautiful gesture!

Surrounded by love and support!

One more month until school starts (and brings back routine--woo!),
