Sometimes Wishes Do Come True: Lego Land

I have to say it...Lego Land was one of my favorite stops on our trip so far.  It wasn't as crowded or overwhelming as Universal Studios or the Magic Kingdom and there was more for both kids to do (Little Sweetie is a little young for a lot of the rides).  Today was a great day!

Everything is awesome, because we are at Lego Land!

They were both excited to see Emmett and Wyldstyle, but Little Sweetie was not so excited about a picture!

We found Buzz and Woody there too!

Driving tractor on the Lego Farm!

And then we found the train!

Little Buddy was so excited about "driving" the train!  I think he could have done that all day!

Tell the conductor "Bye!"

He ended up being ok leaving the train, but only because we found ANOTHER castle!

Just hanging out with a knight!

Little Sweetie decided that she needed to help take care of the pigs in the castle's courtyard!

Little Buddy and Daddy took a ride on Merlin's Magic Wheel together...

...followed by Little Buddy riding the Knight's Joust BY HIMSELF!!!!

Yes, yes, I took too many pictures of him on this ride, but I couldn't help it!  First, I was terrified about him riding a ride by himself, but he was belted in with a childproof belt so I decided to give it a shot.  Second, look how happy and grown-up he looks!  It's moments like this that make me take a little trip to daydream land, wondering what it could be like if Little Buddy's clinical trial words and he is allowed to grow up.  Seeing him look independent and "normal" are nice moments in the world of a momma who is constantly worried.  I love my little knight!

The knight ride may have been my favorite memory of the day, but I'm pretty sure Little Buddy's was the Pizza Man from outside of the pizza shop we ate at.  The Pizza Man said lots of funny phrases in an Italian accent and Little Buddy could not get enough of it!

Then we found the miniatures area with Lego models of so many structures!  This would have been Daddy's favorite part!

The attention to detail was amazing!

Little Buddy was excited to find the Statue of Liberty!

Uh-oh, looks like we are headed into pirate territory!

They had a fun waterski show with Lego pirates!  Nice to sit in the shade and enjoy it.

Little Sweetie was getting pretty silly by the end!  Time to head back to the Villa!

Time to rest before tomorrow's adventures at Hollywood studios,
