Science time at the mall,
Sleepy time in the big bed, and...
Our first day of his summer school program!
One of my last pictures of my two-year-old! *Sniff*
We actually started the month with a joint birthday party for Little Buddy and his friend, E. We had all our friends come for lunch, cake, and splash pad fun at one of the local parks. Everyone had a great time!
Our big boy! "Can't I just go play now, Momma!"
Still can't believe he's turning three!
Having fun at the splash pad!
Our beach-themed cupcakes. So yummy!
Little Buddy's cake.
Little Buddy and E ready to blow out their candles.
Happy birthday to you!
Tired birthday buds.
Little Buddy and his friends.
So happy to share this day with our Texas family!
Playing with his birthday toys in the best birthday outfit ever!
With his birthday party over, we were still looking forward to celebrating his actual big day. We started the day by blowing out candles on his chosen birthday breakfast of waffles and bananas. Daddy even stayed late to eat with us!
Make a wish!
Then we moved on to pool time with our friends. We had so much fun with them, and Daddy even brought Little Buddy some grilled cheese to enjoy poolside! What a great day!
Froggy slide!
Playing with T!
Lots of fun with our friends!
Poolside lunch with Daddy, possibly the best birthday gift of the day!
When Daddy and I reflect about Little Buddy's past year, we are still so amazed at all of his accomplishments. In this blog, I am going to attempt to update every month on the 11th with what's new and exciting in Little Buddy's life. As for right now:
Height and Weight
His official well-check isn't until next month, but we have his measurements as about 41 in. tall and 45 lbs. We expect him to be at the top of the charts again.
Personality
Still very cautious, but becoming more confident and adventurous. We think a lot of this is coming from his continued time at My Gym, which he loves!
Developmental Milestones
He jumps now! And, though it's going very slowly, his potty awareness is developing. My goal of him being potty-trained by the time his sister is born in October may be attainable, yay! Besides knowing his ABC's, he also knows most of his phonetic sounds to the alphabet and words that go which each letter.
Fun Tidbits
Still a big eater, with a special love for grilled cheese and peanut butter and jelly; "Show me!" he loves directing us to tell him more about his world; Begs us to tickle him, then laughs and insists that we're "hurtin'" him; When he tells us that he is "So Happy" Daddy and I completely melt; He also uses his eating utensils to cast singing spells on us (mostly we sing ABCs and Twinkle, Twinkle); still loves Sesame Street and Daniel Tiger.
Lots of big events coming up for our buddy in the next month, including buying him some big boy furniture! He's just growing up so fast!
Love you Little Buddy,
Momma
