Well, hello May! Nice to see you again. It's been another wonderful month with our Little Buddy (and it's a humbling moment to realize that this is his last month of being 10...I'm not ready)! We've been very fortunate that Little Buddy has weathered the drug withdrawal from the end of the trial and seems to be coming out the other side. We've been blessed with more good days and more smiles.
Overall, the first part of the month has been pretty low-key. However, Little Sister's swimming has started up, so our weekends have become more busy. After a year of very little activity due to the pandemic, life opening up again and getting back to "normal" feels exhausting! With only a few weeks until school is over, we've got to get ready for our summer plans and I'm sure "exhausted" will be part of it.
We're going bananas over here!
Enjoying some outside time! The weather is getting hotter and the mosquitos are moving in; not sure how many good days outside we'll have left.
I also got to have a beautiful Mother's Day with my babies. How lucky am I to have these two??
Morning snuggles!
The best sibling pair ever!
Family picture! (Matching pajamas may be one of my love languages!)
We will never take one single smile for granted!
Height and Weight
This month he's at 91.2 pounds and at 59 1/3 inches.
The handsomest little boy I know!
Personality
So much happier this month! As he's adjusted to being off the clinical trial drug, we're getting so much more interaction and smiles. Happy to how our joyful boy back!
Hey you!
Developmental Changes
Thankfully, with Little Buddy coming through his withdrawal, his school days have been much happier. We still can't believe this is his last year with his elementary crew...how blessed we have been with his teachers and aides. It's going to be hard for all of us to move to middle school next year, but we are praying for an easy transition!
He loves story time and music therapy!
Fun Tidbits
Somebody is, once again, a celebrity! After his school district did a piece on Little Buddy, one of our area news affiliates picked it up and came to do a profile for their "Be Someone" segment. They did an excellent job and we were so proud to be able to spread some more WILLPower!
Mr. WILLPower, making waves!
The rest of this month will spent preparing ourselves for our summer schedule and for the reality of Daddy going back to work, eeek! We continue to look for a respite worker/aide and to prepare my heart for having an 11 year old! My sweet baby boy, we are so blessed by every day with you.
Until June,
LBM
