July 11

We finished out June and are now fully immersed in July...how is summer already half over? We have a lot going on these next few weeks, so I know it will fly by even faster now.

In any case, Little Buddy enjoyed the rest of WOW Camp and then enjoyed his week of being a singleton while Little Sister was at Girl Scout Camp!

Really glad I had his tray for him to enjoy all the craft and art activities!

He loves checking out all the creatures!

He had perfect shoes for the blacklight demonstration!

Ms. T was one of his helpers and she was awesome!

Two of his favorite things, WOW has its own Mr. Bones and we got to see his buddy, E!

Another great year at WOW!

Little Sister actually got dropped off at camp on Father's Day, so we had a quick breakfast celebration with Daddy before taking her to camp (and before Daddy had to leave for what ended up being 36 hours monitoring a frac).

We love you, Daddy!

But while Little Sister was away, big brother got to play!

Special pool time with parents just for Little Buddy!

Little Buddy might have enjoyed a week of individual attention, but he did miss his sister. She sweetly brought back a craft from camp for them to do together.

Sibling fun!

They have spent the rest of the month enjoying things like pool time, library visits, and movies together!

Staying cool trying out pools to see which ones Little Buddy does the best in!

Guess who finished their summer reading program? These two!

Lots of movies this summer now that Little Sister is a bit older, including Night at the Museum and Sister Act!

Weight
Well, we had been doing well eating, but we are slowing down a bit again. Hoping we can hit a balance that keeps his weight up but doesn't require us feeding him at the table for 3 hour sessions again like last summer. He's 127 pounds right now.

Sometimes we are happy and interested in eating...

...sometimes we are not.

Personality
We were really doing well smile-wise up until our 4th of July trip to Dallas (which I chronicled in another post). Trying to see if we can get the joy back! If one weekend trip took him too off routine and messed him up, it makes me a bit nervous for Alaska at the end of July.

A smile a day keeps the momma depression away!

Developmental Changes
With camps done, we have been working to keep Little Buddy on some type of schedule that gives him time for activity, stimulation, and rest. Overall, he's done well, but he still wishes he could sleep in more.

Too hot outside for a walk to keep those leg muscles strong? Mall walking it is!

Enjoying some activity time with his shapes!

Morning, shmorning.

Fun Tidbits
Little Buddy survived Little Sister's swim season. Early mornings and long, hot days aren't his favorite thing, but he was there to support her!

Sleepily supporting the sharks!

So the big thing coming up this month is our Alaskan cruise. Hoping that a full week on a boat with the same bed every night and food available all the time will be the ticket to a good vacation for our boy (or at least better than last year's National Parks trip). Wish us luck!

Good night,

LBM
