Well we have been trucking along into March, which for us includes a very busy time, marathon season! We also had a February break to contend with as well as some spring allergies. Ay yi yi!
The end of February around Little Sister at her 5th grade retreat at Camp Kappe and Little Buddy on his Mid-Winter break from school. Daddy had to chaperone at Camp Kappe for a few days as well, so we didn't get too crazy on his break, but we did make it out for some walks on the Waterway and lunch at House of Pies!

Excited for pie time!
Little Sister did make it back just in time for Valentine's Day, so we were able to celebrate both our loves together!

Happy Valentine's Day!
And then it was time to get ready for all the Marathon events! Little Buddy finished up his training and was ready to race!

One of his last training runs!

Cold day, but ready to race!

Finish line time!

Glad for both the kids to be part of the SECS Run Club!

Showing off his medals! We know it's less of a "run" and more of a "walk" for him for the Kids' Race these days, but we are still so proud of every step!
Now time to prepare for longer events!

Charity Challenge winner ready!

Great job fundraising Team WILLPower! Now go run!

Grateful for all our WILLPower runners!
Traditional post-race Chuy's lunch and picture!
It's always nice to take a breath after Marathon season ends, but this time of year also lines up with the anniversary of Little Buddy's diagnosis. It's always a tough day, but to know that this is the 10th anniversary of hearing our son had Sanfilippo just weighs a little heavier. Seemed almost fitting that it fell on Ash Wednesday this year.

D-Day: A time for reflection indeed.
Height and Weight
Well, unfortunately, someone's spring allergies have hit in a major way, which is messing up with his swallowing and eating again. We are unfortunately down to 121 lbs. and we are having to employ all of our strategies again to try to combat this before it become a real problem.
Personality
Overall, still happy, but the allergies are messing with everything. He's so sleepy a lot of the time.

We love him so much!
Developmental Changes
The allergies are NOT fun. Difficulty eating means less food and less energy and more sleepy buddy. Lots of napping, meaning it's hard to get him to work on his skills. It's a rough season and it's hard not to have the engaging interactions we normally have with him. Those smiles and looks fuel us and we miss them! Hopeing we can get our smiley boy back soon!

Beautiful boy, I hate that you have to struggle so much.
Fun Tidbits
We, by luck, found out about Spring pictures for his school and managed to get him scheduled in. This was such a blessing as his Fall pictures were TERRIBLE thanks to all his struggles following our National Parks trip. Glad to get a picture more representative of our boy!
Our high school freshmen!
And that's that! Next month will find us with 2 different Spring Breaks for Little Buddy and Little Sister and hopefully less pollen.
Good night,
LBM
