April 11

Another month of memories that we are lucky to have!  Thankful every day for the smiles of our sweet boy.  Things have gotten a little better since last month and that really means a world of difference around here.

Our month began with Spring Break, which, besides being fun time, also ends up being appointment time for us so that Little Buddy doesn't end up missing a lot of school.  This break it was dentist time!

Teeth are all clean!  But we did find out that his 4 permanent molars are coming in, which explains why he has been more grumpy lately, poor guy!

Super brushers all around!

After the dentist, we got down to the business of having fun.  First up, celebrating Daddy's birthday by going to the rodeo!

We love you, Daddy, but we also really love your cake!

Petting the rabbits in the livestock area!

Someone still loves Ms. Moo!

Our favorite little cowpoke, taking it all in!

Bouncing around for St. Patrick's Day!

We are still in awe of the weather so far this spring.  It's beautiful and we are really trying to take advantage of it as much as possible by having as much outside time as possible.

He loves biking...

...and swinging...

...and bouncing!

We also got to go strawberry picking for the first time!  We had a lot of fun with our friends.

Little Buddy was also a fan of the delicious strawberry jam we made from our haul!

As always, my favorite moments were the ones that had both halves of my heart loving each other.  God bless Little Sister who has to put up with a lot (a big brother that is more like a little brother that pulls her hair and takes her toys because he can't help it) but still sees the beauty that is in her brother and shows him her love.

They always find a way to connect.

Height and Weight
Weighing in at 70.6 pounds and 53.75 inches!

Our big, strong, and handsome boy!

Personality
Overall, our boy is much happier and back to himself.  We are going through periods of decent sleep and then periods of bad sleep, nothing is consistent.  But overall we are doing better than last month.  Knowing that his teeth are bothering him have helped us understand at least what part of the problem is.

Developmental Changes
We are still fighting the good fight!  Actually, we have seen a lot of words from Little Buddy this month, which means the world to us.  We've received lots of interaction and affection too.  We just keep working with him at every chance we can to help him retain as much as possible for as long as possible.

After school OT playtime!  Keeping our skills sharp!

On days where he does have issues sleeping, we come up to find him settle in his nest of books.  As much as I wish he could just sleep soundly, it does warm my heart to see how much he still enjoys looking at books.

My little bookworm.

Fun Tidbits
Each month, Little Buddy's best friend, J, sends him a card for his month birthday.  It always warms my heart to see that my guy has a friend that cares so much about him.

Intent on this month's letter from J!

Here's hoping to even more improvements next month!

Until then,

LBM
